I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.
canal ridin'
canal ridin'
Got off work early today and the weather was just too nice to stay home, so i made a ride out to the C+D Canal to explore some of the trails I and jeep tracks I passed up the other times out there.
Crossing the Conowingo Dam to avoid the toll
Riding along the river...
I saw a little side track and wanted to see where it led... to a nice clearing near the Susquehanna river.
Out to the canal service road:
Make the first left going up the hill and soon you'll find a nice big field full of fun
Always something out there to keep you honest with your speed. I ended up hitting this ditch (deeper and steeper than it looks) at about 45 mph, hard enough to move my bars in the clamp.
Further along the road, it started to go away.... I dodged jeep holes like this several times, no idea how deep they are and I'm by myself... 401dan's pokomoke stories plus the gelatinous pond scum had me going around instead of through
fading...
fading......
discretion, valor, and all that, time to stop riding down the rabbit hole.
The hole almost ate me on the way out
Getting late, time to head home!
I think you could spend all day up there and not hit everything. :)
Never run out of ideas, traction, and real estate at the same time...

I enjoy my solo rides also, but will limit how far and exploring depth,
its always in the back of my head "how far to walk back",
or how will I retrieve bike out of this??
Evidently you are NOT SKIERD
