Nice meeting the new guys Chasbo and Bigbird. Chasbo led us on a nice ride, ( I was pretty lost almost the whole time). We did some nice mountain gap roads, was a good day.

Made it home ok. Awesome to meet everyone today. I hope you all enjoyed the ride. I really enjoyed the road to and from Cowan's Gap. It is one of my faorites and this is one of the few times during the year you don't fight cars for space on it. I glad I was able to show some other people that route.

Home safe and sound. Thanks for leading us on a great ride chasbo, that was a great season warm-up ride. It was good to meet you and BigBird, hopefully we will be getting together for some of the dirtier stuff soon!

I REALLY enjoyed meeting you folks and finding some new roads and getting the winter cobwebs out of the GL1800. You all made the old guy fell very welcome!

I hope we'll be getting together again soon - hopefully on some DIRT next time with me on the WR250R!

I got home at ~5PM and took off for Falls Church for the NVTR meeting. I was a member from 79-84 or so.

So this has be a BIG week for me! New Bike, New DAMN friends and renewing NVTR ties from the past!

I brought my camera but only snapped a couple of pics. Sorry, had too much fun riding I guess. I should have ridden ahead on of the gap roads and set up in a clear corner, to catch all the big bikes draggin pegs. (not quite, but close enough).

Here we all are just about to leave. BigBird's big yellow GL1800, Patrick and my Concours's (he has the nice one, I have the one missing the lower fairing), and Chasbo's KTM 990 looking very svelte in present company.


I guess this is why he is BigBird.
