Hopefully it's something like...
The thief knew immediately he'd made a mistake. The KTM was so smooth and powerful it was unnerving, and the way it kept heading towards the woods like it had a mind of its own freaked him out so much he brought it back, washed it, punched himself in the face, and turned himself in...
