Hmmmm.... not what I had in mind for my Top Secret project, but since I had a 72 Triumph, I wouldn't mind having another - how much?mdubya wrote:I have a 1967 Triumph TR6 (650) that is a mostly basket case....

I probably couldn't part with it. Too much sentimental value. I think teethgrinder has some basket case type projects around though.Kyler wrote:Hmmmm.... not what I had in mind for my Top Secret project, but since I had a 72 Triumph, I wouldn't mind having another - how much?mdubya wrote:I have a 1967 Triumph TR6 (650) that is a mostly basket case....
I do have a 1994 Ducati 900 SS that is in pretty good shape. I would part with it for $3K. It has a fresh motor. It would need a battery and just a little bit of work to get it running since it has been parked since early 2006.

I'm looking for a dual-sport type bike similar to the DR or KLR. Fast bikes scare me so no Duc in my future!

I gotcha. Was mostly making idle conversation on a bone cold winter eve.
PS-air cooled 2 valve Ducs really aren't that fast.

Come on Ken! A KLR based enduro sidehack powered by a 900cc Ducati Twin, that would be pretty cool.

It would indeed. Would have to build an entirely new frame, but we could cut off the original VIN and weld it into the new frame.
Hmmmm....
mdubya - is there much market for the rest of the bike? Could I part it out?
Hmmmm....

There is a market, not sure how lucrative.Kyler wrote:Hmmmm....Bucho wrote:Come on Ken! A KLR based enduro sidehack powered by a 900cc Ducati Twin, that would be pretty cool.
