2006 KTM 525 EXC $3200 (SOLD)

Post by restukey »

2006 KTM 525 EXC @ about 50 plus hours

One ride on:
valve adjustment
rear tire, Bridgestone 403/404
battery
oil change
muffler repacked

Upgrades
41mm carb with jetting
Titanium Powerbomb header
Enduro Engineering shock valve
SKF forks seals and fresh fork fluid (3 rides)
Front Bridgestone about 3 or 4 rides.

I am the second owner of the bike. I have an MSO from Ridersville cycle. The first owner put little hours on the bike, less than three maybe? His wife bought him the bike, he wrecked and broke the speedo, sold it to me. I have a new speedo that was mounted only briefly.

I bought the bike in 2009 and only did a couple rides on it. I broke a bone in my hand and sat out the end of the year. I rode Greenride on plenty weekends last year. Now that GR is gone, the bike doesn't really fit in at the small MX track I have been frequenting. I bought a CRF250r this past weekend, so this one has to go. It has the typical scratches from a 50 hour bike. It is relatively clean. Bike needs nothing but a new owner with $3200.

I'll have pics up at the end of the week.

Why do all the really good deals happen when I'm not in a position to buy a(nother) bike? :dirtdog:

I couldn't even hide that, cuz it's orange.

more upgrades:
PDS 7 shock spring
R&D powerpump (carb ap mod)

About the MSO and street legal, In 2007 the bikes were street legal. The 2006 comes with a headlight and tail light but no blinkers. The 2007 blinkers can be made to work with the bike. It is common to mod the EXC bikes to supermoto street duty, but it probably comes down to whatever state you're titling it in?

I have 07 525EXC. I love mine so much, I asked the wife if I could buy her this one and take her to Barton. Just said she is waiting for a Jeep.

This is a great bike for a great price. I really wish I could justify 2.
