Whack it with a mallet. It's probably just the gasket holding it on at this point. The bolt you took out of the bottom should be all that holds it on.

Put it back together. Started right up. Just gotta get mix and idle adjusted.

I reacquired the 1985 Beta trials bike I had a few years ago. I'm trying to get it sorted for a MATV event next weekend.

Update or actually  , nevermind.
Anyway a few years ago I had this 1985 Beta TR32 trials bike. I mostly used it to trail ride, it has a large tank and kind of has a seat. I sold it to Mike's BIL, I'm not sure why, I get bike ADHD sometimes.
Recently I was thinking about trying the trials thing again and helped out with a MATV event and decided I would give it a try. Thru Mike I found that the Beta was available , so I got it back.
I entered an event last weekend and It ran well, mostly.

The clutch slips and made some godawful noises, but it kept chugging. That maybe because I used the wrong oil.
Oil change in order after I figure how to get stripped drain plug out. I did find clutch stuff in the UK.
My left hand had bad cramps near the end and caused a couple issues because the clutch pull is so heavy. I'm going to order new lever assy and cable. I'll start there.
I'm also going to get new bars, grips, pegs, screw with suspension and IDK what else.

Air-cooled 4 Motorcycle Score Cleans
First Zach Adam Montesa Cota 349 11 26
Second Bruce Kocher Beta TR 32 81 5

I had fun, yoo gotta finish to place :lol2:

You do realize many of those bikes had 15 years (older) than yours.....how about having a go with the BSA on 3 line and place in top 3.... Just goals. You have brakes so that is like cheating.

Oh yeah I know 1985 is not vintage compared to the other bikes. The Beta is more capable than me right now, I need to work on getting out of the 80s in points.
