Good idea.

Interesting, how many use plastic pistons nowadays? Seems to be not too good in a place which theoretically can become quite hot..

New ss boron coated something or other. It was harder getting the new ones pressed in. All bled. Now to test, bleed and repeat. Hopefully I will have front brakes.Image

Bruce, snag a 60cc syringe with a blunt tip, 1/4" aquarium tubing, and brake fluid. Put the tubing on the syringe and attach it to the bleeder. Open bleeder and push fluid up into the master cylinder until no more bubbles. Air bubbles like to rise and this method works great on bikes.

“Phenolic pistons reduce heat transfer into the brake fluid, resist corrosion that could cause caliper binding and are lightweight.”

That’s what the “smart guys” say. Most vehicles have them now.

I’m not a sart guy though, just sayin....
And I’ve seen them break if not pushed back evenly.
