Funny thing is I've rebuilt several old Jeeps, and I still have three,no four :lol2: And I have no problem taking stuff apart and figuring it out. Bikes to me are different, if I screw it up I may die or be stranded in BFE. I rely on my bikes and don't trust myself to crack open the engine.

Stock bore is 100mm = 644cc
New bore is 103mm =683cc
That is the max on the stock sleeve. No kit, no boring the cases. Could be put back to stock with a new sleeve (why) or 103 again with another sleeve which is cheap & just drops in.

Stock compression 8.3:1
New compression 10:1
That makes more difference than the bore IMO. Unless you go up a lot which requires a kit. I'm not trying to build a race bike here but it will run much better without loosing reliability. Some guys go to 10.5:1, big bore kit, cam, carb ect...
