I looked up KTM in the urban dictionary. This is what it says
A european motorcycle manufacturer, similar to husaberg.
KTMs decimate all other competition including Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. KTMs utilize superior engineering technology compared to japanese motorcycle manufacturers.

The RFS (racing four stroke) engine is one of the best engines KTM ever made.

KTMs are also very successful in getting even the ugliest men laid.

However extreme care must be used around other men as KTMs are known to cause other men to get hard-ons.
Girl: "OMG a KTM, it's so pretty I love it!"
Guy: "Want me to show you how to ride?"
Girl: "Sure, let's go!"

All joking aside, I think the rider makes the real difference. Not the bike. How else would it have possible for greats like McGrath and Carmichael to win National Championships on a HONDA ???

Yes the motor is back. To recap, I sent the motor to Chris Blais racing to get rebuilt. The motor is completely refreshed as well as new clutch. Blais modified the engine for a single oil sump system. Also removed the emissions components. I took the opportunity while the motor was out to refresh most of the consumables. Replaced swing arm bearings, shock bearings, carb gaskets, both sprockets, chain, footpegs, brake foot tip, slave cylinder gasket, chain guides, brake fluid (front and rear), and numerous screws and associated hardware. I also took the time to clean up all of the electrical wiring routing and connections, all connections now clean and dielectric grease applied. I'm sure I'm missing a few items but you get the point.

The bike started after a few seconds. At warm up and idle I made slight adjustments to the idle and air screw. I just took it out for a spin yesterday around the neighborhood and this thing is running very well. Chris advised to run the first half of a tank like a prius owner, then after that ride like I stole it. Still waiting for that opportunity so I can see how the bike really performs but I am excited by the first impression. I will post up pics soon as I can get them. If anyone has a specific question about any of the parts or process, let me know. I am happy to help as I have used advice from here multiple times and this is my opportunity to give back.

Current wish list:
new radiators
new shift lever
tool kit attachment
seat or seat cover
250 2 stroke bike to play with
2011 KTM 450 six days- parting out
2005 Honda CRF250f

Mishimoto radiators are pretty good and a lot cheaper than KTM's
