I'm sending my 09 450 EXC shock to Alan at Stillwell Performance for a rebuild and to add the rising rate spring and needle and his special version of the gold valve. Last year I sent my forks to him and the experience was great. My forks are great. In addition to regular fork service and revalve, I had him get the SKF fork seals which were more $$ but I do notice the increased suppleness of the suspension.
Compared to my old WR250F, I thought the KTM was already a Cadillac, but Alan tells me that I won't recognize it after I'm gliding over rocks and roots with this new setup on the shock.

PS. Shipping the shock to AZ was $60 with insurance! Sheesh!
