Fix-a-flat
Walmart has small cans of this stuff meant to fill a bike tire in the advent of a flat. So, would a couple of cans work on a DB tire? Seems like an easier solution than carrying a tube and necessary tools.
Re: Fix-a-flat
Depends....what's a "DB" tire?

Dirtbike. It took me a while, too.
EDIT: And by that he probably really means "tube tires."

Re: Fix-a-flat
Seems reasonable for a quick fix, if it works. That stuff is messy. If it doesn't plug the hole then you might not get it patched with that goo running out.
I've had decent luck patching, tube still on rim/bike and using the little co2 things to inflate.

Yep, meant a dirtbike tire as opposed to a bicycle tire.
Re: Fix-a-flat
Well, the general concensus seems to be that this stuff doesn't work. I took the unused can I bought at walmart back and will be working on a way to comfortably pack a tube and tools. The front fender bag looks pretty good. I did pick up a small Co2 inflator that works fairly well and is very compact.

Hands down the best spare tube fender bag you can buy.
I have had all the ones that install with the fender and they add stress to the fender and all walk forward.
This bag mounts sideways and hooks to the forks so the weight is back close to where the fender mounts and can not walk forward.
It could block a little of your head light if you over stuff it.
I have owned every bag from common brands to Wolfman gave away or pitched them out, this is the only one I will run.
He makes some other good stuff also.
If you do want to try a sealer product is have read good things about Stans, must be a common product for mountain bikes.
You add before you get a flat from what I understand.

nice but it would obscure 1/2 of my headlight - oh wait, I never use the headlight!

I would worry about the x-tra weight preventing me from popping wheelies - oh wait, I never pop wheelies......Kyler wrote:nice but it would obscure 1/2 of my headlight - oh wait, I never use the headlight!
