dual sport side stand

Post by mdubya »

Does any one have a recommendation for a clamp on dual sport side stand? My Husky 510 apparently does not have the lugs for the springs on the stock side stand anymore.

I am looking for a simple solution. Open to all suggestions. :ride:

My KTM is like that. I just use the little rubber loop to hold it up when I'm riding. Then manually put it up and down when I'm using it.
It works. I try to lean it against trees when I can.

I don't know about your bike, but I just bought the Trail Tech / MSR (same supplier?) sidestand for my KTM and I'm pretty happy with it. At least for the KTM, it came with everything including the spring and the lug it attaches to.

I am concerned about getting through a state inspection above all else. Did you use that method for inspection?

I have seen that one before. It doesn't have a fitment for Huskys. Not sure that matters though.

I have one you can have. Don't know what it was for, but it clamps on. It may have been for the old red frame KTM,s

Moose makes some nice steel ones (if you ever want to kickstart from the sidestand the alum units will snap) Like this: http://www.mxsouth.com/moose/moose-raci ... stands.htm
