Right in the middle. I can post a picture, but grab a wooden pencil. Paint it silver. Snap it in half. That's what it looks like. :)

I looked at the break and noticed something peculiar. The kickstand's exterior is cast aluminum, which is cheap and light. But for strength, they have a solid bar as a core. Except that the solid core doesn't go the entire length of the kickstand. No, right in the middle is a gap between two separate pieces. You know, where it snapped. Grr.

Well I was thinking we could drill out the center and put a piece of solid alum bar or steel, yes I know steel doesn't go well with alum, electolosis blah blah. but after inserting the core epoxy it together, to create a strong bond

That's an idea. I'm going to be away for the next few weekends, and I'm going to take it with me to Florida to see if my Dad or one of his buddies can do something with it, but if not, I'm up for whatever. I've kind of resigned myself to the idea that I'm going to end up buying a new one if only for aesthetic reasons so I'm willing to give people a chance to try things out on it.

Thanks,
