Dood, your making me look bad with the professional lookin hole you put in your air box. I just hacked mine out with a dremel. I might have to clean it up to get some style points back.

While your setting up your suspension for your weight and you have the springs out freshen up the fluid with a change, and you may want to send your shock out to have it cleaned inspected and the fluid changed. There is a guy in Rising Sun that does it for a reasonable cost if that shock is not sealed, or any other suspension shop. The fluid if not changed, has a great effect over the damping characteristics once it becomes contaminated. This may well be one of the most important mods to the handling of your bike, setting it up for your weight.Congrats on the quiting of smoking.

The guy in Rising Sun is Tom Phillips. He's been around forever - he did a shock for me in the very early 90's. I've heard nothing but good about his work. let me know if you need me to try to dig up his number.

Tom is a personal friend and member of the same club.As stated he is well known and will stand behind his work.He has done just about everything I can think of as far as working on bikes goes and I know several people that he preps their race bikes for them.I've given him suspension stuff off of every kind of bike I've owned japanese and european as a matter of fact he probally did the suspension on Gradys old Te610 for me when I owned it.He pretty much is doing hare scrambles and maybe some motocross riding, and you could catch him at the races, and drop your stuff off there. You want his number let me know it's in my cell.

Thanks for tips...I may hit you up on that, but I need to save some cash again. Just put new Rotors, brakes, passenger hub, axle and tires on the truck...That cost me a few dollars...Thank god I have someone with air tools and I can do that shit myself. I cant imagine what the labor would have been on that job...well not the tires, but everything else

And so it goes on...

New IMS wide Pegs...

New Edge Taillight with a 12 o'clock labs circuit board. This is actually pretty cool and eliminates the whole ugly rear end of the DRZ. Wit the 12 o'clock labs board, it eliminates the turn signals too...

Call up Eddie at Sisneros Speed Works in CO. He is a DRZ specialist. He has engine kits and has special custom valves (custom valves I think from Ron Hamp of NASCAR fame) specifically for this motor that you can't get anywhere else. He has a "sped up" throttle with a single pull actuation, a wiring harness fix to improve the voltage to the battery, and a Direct ignition plug (from a Huyabusa I think) to really farkle it up. But for motor mods, there's no one in the country that knows more about DRZs.

Tell him Billy Gleaves sent you...that way he'll know me when I send my DRZ400SM motor for work.

Oh...and I almost forgot...the best close place who stocks stuff just for DRZs is Wheeling Cycle Supply. Call Forest, tell him what u got and he will have stuff to make your pride and joy light and gorgous. Forest is the guy to talk to about the "Edge" taillight and associated parts. Just takes money!

Good luck!
