Tire machines have come up in discussion a few times lately. This is a pretty cool, reasonably priced rig:

FWIW-I have a Harbor Freight manual rig. It is cumbersome at times, and it always needs a 3rd or 4th hand to help with mounting. However, it is always more convenient for me to struggle with it by myself at 9 or 10 PM or 1 or 2 AM even, than it is to run down to the local shop to have tires swapped out for a fee. I never balance off road tires, and I rarely balance road tires, so that isn't an issue for me. However, you can get a balance stand and wheel weights for an additional $100-$150.
I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.

Re: tire changers
One of my friends reviewed one for a magazine, and he really liked it enough to actually buy one.
I just noticed that they have a Coates retrofit. That's new. Daddy likes!
