As some of you may know, my brother, John C. Lapp, died on April 18th of complications from kidney failure.
Zina and I were able to be with him before he died, which was very important to me. I got to thank him for introducing me to motorcycles. Even though he was having a hard time speaking, he gave me a real big grin for that, so I knew he understood.
There will be a service for him at 10:00 am this Thursday, May 7th at Mount Vernon Unitarian Church, 1909 Windmill Lane, Alexandria, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation serving the National Capital Area, www.kidneywdc.org.
We will fly into DC on Wednesday the 6th and return to Oakland on the 8th.
