I've seen Jim Palmer riding a street legal 350 - which bike is that?

Have you seen it's compitition from Sherco? http://www.sherco.com/caracteristiques- ... e-290.html

I personally would love to find one of these. http://www.gasgas.com/Pages/2003's/Pamp ... specs.html I've seen a couple plated but haven't had the extra cash to pick one up.

Also helping keep the weight down is the high-strength plastic subframe.

I think you may be underestimating the strengths of today's composites and design technologies. Subframes have been going to plastic for a while now. And you should see the subframe on my race bike. :-)
