What year is your bike?
Maryland is pretty loose about giving out "historic" plates. It just needs to be 20 or more years old, and "not be substantially modified from original" ... but "substantially modified" is never defined.
If you get historic plates, no inspection is needed. They all you need is a headlight and tail light so you don't get pulled over while out riding.
I have "historic" plates on both of my xt500's. I have a hi/lo headlight and tail light with brake light. One has a horn and turn signals, the other one has neither. I didn't get either one inspected, just walked into the MVA with titles, and walked out with tags.
If you bike is pretty new, this obviously wont help you... but if its 1993 or older this is the way to go!

Re: MD Registration Help
Thank you for the post but my bike is a 2011. I just received all of the parts and will give it a shot....definitely a pain but hopefully it will pass.JMK015 wrote:What year is your bike?
