I want to make this! I reserved a spot at Poe Valley State Park. It is almost full. One spot left just now.
Zero spots now
I got room if'n somebody needs a place to bunk.
I'm going up Friday night.
you must have gotten ~35 on the lower loop! I got the last spot(47) on the right on the lower loop after you pass the bathroom/shower building. Cool! That is a very popular camp grounds for sure. Clean and plenty of places for the kids to ride bikes and fish in the pond, swim etc. I like PVSP.
Seven Mountains Campground has plenty of availability right now according to their reservation site. If I can make it, I'll probably try to snag one of their cabins with window A/C.

Haul your DS bike, camp and ride local trails/forest roads kinds deal.
I'm leaning towards Bald Eagle, because I know it has DS trails and good/bad roads.
I'm out for this now but I think my daughter and I will be headed up to Mountain Ridge Monday/Tuesday. She gets those two days off from school and we'll probably stay overnight in the area Monday night.

Wes, You think MR will be packed this weekend? Kiddo has off Mon/Tues also. We were trying to find something to do but the Rapidan river is low and can't do a kayak/canoe overnight trip w/ my buddy. All things like campgrounds are booked so hiking/camping is probably out. I'd be up for riding w/ kiddo if the weather is nice.
