That is what studded tires are for. Blink your eyes and this crap will be gone. Honestly a very friendly season so far, not many weekend that was not ride worthy. Makes driving south for some winter riding a treat vs everyday riding. Twice I was at Brushy in NC and was warmer at home....that sucked
I tend to agree. Our snow doesnt last too long here.

Wes, if you are really jones’n bad for an offroad ride, you can come play in the 4wd buggy. I havnt rolled it yet.
I'll definitely try to make it the next time you do a work day and I'll probably bring my tree hugger bike along. Thanks for always thinking of me!

Yesterday I was up at Farm. I took the buggy around cutting all the fallen trees. A lot of stuff down.

The trail on other side of creek has some huge trees down!

I had my son stand on one for scale. He isnt much shorter than 6’

Also the double track trail along the creek has a fresh fallen tree. Its hanging, so cant be easily hopped. I started cutting it and suddenly was swarmed with bees. I luckily only got stung once.
Not sure how we can safely cut that one?
Maybe cut from the far other side and then drag tree away with buggy?
Maybe bring my bee gear from home too…

That sounds like ground hornets (even if they're in the tree). You can cut it at night since they don't see well in the dark. I hate those things and usually attack them with fire at night.

That sounds like a show. Phil, pick the night.
I'll show up with chainsaws and cameras to see this. I've got an Australian Outback Aboriginal wood flute soundtrack for the video

I think you are right about them being ground bees.
Maybe if we get some good rain we can go in w/ Molotovs and rain fiery death down upon them.

Make sure the ground is wet. I was burning out bees back at the farm and thought what a show seeing them come flying out on fire....then I realized I had many little fires all around me.
