Can someone tell me where I need to get reservations, please? :) Camping, hoteling, I don't care. Time's coming up, though, so I'd like to get it locked down.

Thanks,

I submitted a motorized camping application to Buchanan SF to make the camping crowd a bit more legit. Requested site CV013 b/c apparently there's a stream nearby and shouldn't be too much of a detour (for those camping) away from the main route. Approx. 20-30 min away from rocky gap in the morning as well.

Anyways, that's where I'm gonna stay. Anyone who wants to join is welcome.

*UPDATE* Permit for CV018 received

I have a reservation at Rocky Gap Resort. Rooms are 167 a night and are fully refundable up to the night before and I posted this:

Hotel rooms are 167 for a King or 2 Queens and are 100% refundable up to midnight the day before (30APR). Make reservations online or Call the resort direct (866) 238-4218

I'd prefer to camp. How many bikes/tents can we pile into kos1's spot? :D
Do we have an estimated number of riders? Wonder if we need to reserve multiple camp spots.

Bill, I check the resort and the price is $164. But then there are $40+ in taxes/resort fees. :(

Edit:
CV008 description is "Located on Blankley Road, Bedford near Oak Trail, Fairview Trail, and the Martin Hill ATV Trails. Grass parking lot that will hold 3 trailer campers or 6 vehicles with tents. Easy access but not secluded. Site has a fire ring, picnic tables, and a hitching post. Potential site for equestrian use. Longitude -78.57754 Latitude 39.85452"
Sounds like a decent sized field if it'll hold 3 campers. BTW, thanks for doing this kos1!

Agreed, if it can hold 6 cars + tents we should be more than fine on bikes.

I've got no problem loading that site up like a music festival.

I consolidated and dropped Firebolter's tracks into Basecamp and included the MABDR tracks from that area as well for alternatives.

Cyan and red are the MABDR and Bald Mountain tracks I had.

Edit: Just me. Others are locked down in New England still.

Okay, cool. Yeah, if we can load up that campsite kos1 reserved, I'd prefer that, and I'll pitch in for the cost. It'll be me and maybe one or two others (probably actually me and "zero or two others" because I suspect the people coming from NH would either come as a pair or not at all).

Can we get the top post updated with the relevant information, please -- where/when we're meeting, and the two current lodging options?

Thanks,

~Patrick

Email has been sent with all of the files and info you need for this ride to those that PM'd or emailed me with interest in this ride. I will not update any more info on this thread until we get real close to the go date. Unless the weather is forecasted to be pure rain all weekend, I plan to go! I will post a week out with any updates.
