I'll go up Friday and camp Fri night for sure and maybe Sat night, we'll see. Assume you are bringing your trailer? I'll have my van, we can set up and cook out and stuff if ya want.

Yes, planning on bringing the trailer. That sounds like good plan to me.

I just stumbled on this tread and impulsively registered for the event  . Anyone can tell me how doable this is on a DR650? I don't have a ton of experience but for reference rode the KAT last year and again last month.
I normally always ride with a buddy of mine but he just moved overseas. And now I start to worry it might be unwise to go alone. If there is anybody from DC or around that feels like meeting up there, please let me know  . I just joined this forum so I guess I should post some more to say hi to everyone here

Yes, doable on DR650, assuming decent tires and decent rider. Roll chart needed. Make friends at start area. Try not to ride alone.

I have mandatory training this weekend, and can't make it. I'll plan another BE trip before or after.

Alright, thanks for the info.
Not too sure about arriving there and trying to find riding buddies at the start. I'd prefer to fall back on this as plan B. So if someone is in a similar situation or doesn't mind me to tag along let me know. To give you an idea, this was our KAT ride report last year (the second one earlier this year went a lot smoother) https://advrider.com/f/threads/the-ken ... -38282920
