2020 Michaux Dual Sport - 16 Aug

Post by Laoch »

Don't miss it this time.
We’re celebrating the 32nd year of the Michaux Dual Sport with some great changes. The route will be fresh and different than years past, but you’ll still get to ride the same great options. We are completely redesigning the routes within the DCNR guidelines.

The main change is the event will be based out of the Shippensburg Fairgrounds this year.

The new venue has a ton of parking, RV spots available, Camping spots available, cell phone coverage, and you’ll be walking distance to all the Shippensburg restaurants and hotels.

We're also hoping to bring back the ADV ride on Saturday as well if we can.

Registration will open at the end of March.

50th UTE Cup weekend...I will be 30 hours west at 11,000 elevation. I expect the Del Val crew will do a great job as they do with all activities they host.

Update--
From DVTR FB page....

Good morning all, hope your are all staying healthy!
Just wanted to post an update from our club, DVTR, that puts on the Michaux Dual Sport.
We haven't heard anything from the State Forest on when/if we'll be able to host the event this year yet, but we're hopeful.
In our meeting last night, we heard from a few members that are part of DVTR as well as other clubs, namely SPER, the great group of riders that put on the Michaux Enduro a couple weeks after our event.
There are some concerns about illegal riding in the State Forest that can/are jeopardizing the future of our events.
So we're asking that if you are riding illegal trails there (anything but forest roads), please consider what you're doing to the future of our events.
Please don't post any pictures unless you're hiking and hopefully we'll all be able to enjoy the singletrack there at the dual sport and the enduro.

Ride safe and please join a club and help support and build legal riding areas & opportunities! ✌️
