DAMN Riders - No rules, Just ride!

The trails got blasted hard last year with a windstorm and much help is needed to do the tree cleaning. This also a good time to create some new trails. If anyone can join us particularly Saturday 3/2 and bring a chainsaw, it would be very appreciated. I hope to do two rides this spring and make this year our DAMN best together

If that gets pushed back to the weekend of the 16th for any reason I'd be all over helping out! I'm looking forward to some good Granville action this year!!

If weather is fit for me to get my van to your lot you can count me in for saturday. Have a back pack chain saw perfect for that task also a brush saw that makes short work of face slappers. Will see if I can fill the van with helpers.....Yo Bruce???

I would love to help out; I have enjoyed my weekends at Granvilles too much not to! Besides, time with the Stihl is always good, just don't tell the Yamaha.

How big of stuff are we talking; do I need to bring the 066 with the 30" bar or just the 038 and the 028 and the 210. Yes, I almost have as many saws as I do bikes, but not quite....

Badazz! I'm 40 yrs old and finally got my first chainsaw. It was a "free" saw given to me that I got running. Not sure how old it is, but its a Stihl 044 Magnum. Been having fun using it to make some trails. I'm already eyeing up a Husqvarna T435 for a MUCH lighter weight saw for packing around in the woods.

Looks like I can do the 1&2, but I no longer have a gas powered chainsaw. I have some good hand saws and just got those ridiculous (but awesome) $50 branch shears and I can drag stuff someone with a chainsaw cuts.

Sounds like I'd better get off my butt and order replacement parts and get my bike fixed! It's still caked in mud from the Hangover Hare Scramble, missing the fender, and has a leaking radiator hose. I'll order parts tonight.

An 044 is probably around 15 years old, the same saw today would be a 440 model. They were great saws. Assuming its still all OEM with good compression, that's a $400 saw you got there. My buddy has one and runs a 28" bar on it and the saw has plenty of power even with the big bar (although he does run skip chain on it). It is a pretty big saw but great for falling and bucking and also for building dirt bike mussels!

She is special. I actually run the YZ's high octane pre-mix in it; smells so sweet. It cuts and gives wood....
