Adventure Bike Training 2019

Any riders here interested in the Adventure bike training course at Bald Eagle this summer?

I'm not including the specifics because I'm new to the forum and don't want to give the impression that I'm advertising for the course.

But it would be great to have one or more people to go with--especially the 2.5 hour ride up and back.

Riding to Bald Eagle June 21, training 22-23, and riding home late afternoon June 23.

Here's the email I received from MSF Rider Coach Alain Kaldewaay of Explor-Int:

Alain has explained to me that this training is for riders to improve skill on big adventure bikes [GS, Tiger, Africa Twin etc], not lighter enduros. That training would be the Dirt Bike School and Trail Riding School.

The heavy "adventure touring bikes" like the GS, Tiger, and Africa Twin.

I'm an expert MSF-certified Rider Coach on the street, intermediate rider on a dual sport off road [like the DRZ400] and a novice on my Triumph Tiger 800 XCX. It's a steep learning curve: weight, center of gravity, electronics, gearing, panniers, tires etc]. I attempt to ride it like a dual sport and that usually ends with me on the ground feeling humble.

Here's a decent website comparison: https://www.atomic-moto.com/blogs/news/ ... -adventure
