:lol2: I got a couple more. It was raining and the section I was "checking" was busy. Not much time to roam around.

Thanks for sticking it out all day in the less than epic weather conditions. Only had time for one beer so was a busy day. 85 riders for a known hard loop and expected mud conditions was a great turn out....think we did have 14 DNF that the loop and sections got the better of. Only one blown motor in your section, not a bad day for a first event checking.

A little muddy? :) I came by a little late w/ the kid. The paths down to spectate were soup. His patience wore thin in the rain and cold so we didn't stay long.

Don't think it is possible to have a trials event without rain and mud. Well not this year anyhow.

Yes it was much easier to ride the loop than walk it, most walking had a muddy backside from doing one or more backside flops making it to the creek section Bruce and I was running.
Note I did not say riding the loop was easy, in dry conditions it will keep and average rider busy....3 inches of slime and gravity takes over.

I rode two loops with Brock then called it quits. I was wet and cold, but I did have fun. It was quite a change from Loop 1 to Loops 2/3/4. I mean we had good traction, I only dropped 6 points on the first loop and 5 of those were from blowing a gate in Kerry's section. Loop 2 and on was 180 degrees different, the traction went from loamy and good bite to pure snot on glass. I too watched folks having a hard time walking around. And that one long downhill, wow, that was a muddy mess and I DAMN near took Brock out!

Still better than sitting in the house, but now I'll have a long bike cleaning session this weekend!

The trail was as steep as your driveway but covered with lots of liquid traction and roots, perfect for drum brake bikes. We will be back next year and might even do 2 events in 2019. Some great high level modern stuff.

I will try not to miss it next time. And that monster of a driveway you remember I have redone it and it is a walk in the park now. To many out of control slides in the skid loader were taking a toll on my heart!
