Well, this was a very interesting day. Bucho and I learned several very valuable lessons about riding the Wasp.
The gas tank should be full when you start!
Running out of gas over a mile away from the truck makes for a LONG hike in MX boots!
The Wasp is one thirsty insectoid
Phil can tell that story.
We eventually managed to make a full loop down by the Potomac.
What a BLAST that thing is! We even managed a power slide around one corner.
Oh yea, a CR500 is one kick ass engine!

Which story do you want me to tell?
Hiking back to the truck (in MX boots) for premix? Taking my turn as the driver and almost instantly killing us? Or how insanely bad the thing vibrates reved out in first gear?
Oh yeah. That CR500 has some serious power. Even w/ the weight of two riders (neither of whom are light weights), the extra weight of the hack, and a longer swing arm, the front end still wants to come up! Especially on some of the up hill sections, we both had to get our weight as far forward as possible to keep the front down.
Anyone who rides a normal 500cc twostroke is officially a minor deity, or clearly insane.

Hey there Ken, Bucho -- just got back from an 800 mile ride on the DRZ. My fingers are so numb I can barely type! For some strange reason, my laptop won't log into DAMN.
Looks great! I think you're gonna enjoy that thing. :)
