I'm going to have to bail on this one.

Sorry I had to bail but I was hoping to be able to ride on Friday and leave early on Sat. I have a rule that I need to have a 2:1 ride:drive ratio. Your a good 4-4.5 hour away so no ride on Friday would have screwed up my precious ratio.. I did however manage to get completely lost at Shade.
Glad to see the weather held out for those that did make it.

Thanks again guys, for having us out to the property.
It was a great day of single track riding, and we beat the rain!

For those in attendance, let's reflect back on my performance in the form of a well-earned BLOOPER reel! :killingme:

Enjoy !!

Great Blooper Real! I know all the spots that you took a tumble. They can be tricky. Thanks for sharing

Some more random video from the day. At the 9 minute mark I make it up two tough hills with great excitement and/or surprise. And then how do you get down??? Ha!

Deceptively challenging. :knary:
Some steep hills that come at you fast, and get steeper as you go up. I had a pretty good fall on a big one, but didn't have camera running. Lesson learned - don't sit for traction, STAND for survival !!

This was the maiden voyage on a new bike, and some obvious adjustments need to me made. Wifey is going to be stunned by the barrage of Amazon boxes en route! She already called today wondering about an $82 UPS charge (shipping forks out to Drew Smith for proper enduro valving). :loveit:

How did you like the new bike?

Grandville has a few tricky spots. That was one of the hardest places I had ever been to the first few times I went. I remember some terrifying moments going down some of the steeper spots and realizing I didn't really know how to brake very well...
