Were you riding all the b/b+ options?
If yes, then
If not, I would rather take a lighter bike and go with the options . My DRZE is good enough for that, I'm not sure if DRZS is .

I think I'll be with you this year J. Big 650 ride to the event (do all hard options) and hopefully be able to ride home at the end of the day.

Yes the previous 2 years but last year we weren't really feeling it by the time we got there..... We were going to be slackers on some of them but somehow made a wrong turn & ended up on some really tough trail that was from the Enduro & not even part of the Dual Sport.... That'll teach us :lol2:

 That year we rode up we were tearing it up on the way and I was concerned, I think Jacob still had his learners permit. :lol2:
We got there and were doing good until you broke your chain. You cut out and we finished up with the group then rode home. You can get a rematch this year.

Ok, ok, the DRz has been pulled out of cold storage. The old girl fired right up! It's all set for the BDR. And I sent my check on today for Michaux.

Let's ride already! :roost: :roost:

Can you explain more about what to expect at the Michaux? How many total miles (and if long, do they have a fuel resupply point?)
How many pavement miles, vs fire-road vs single track might one expect?

They usually route the lunch stop to be back at the “beginning” where you park your van, and can top off fuel if needed.
The main route is mix of dirt roads and easy two track trail. The “options” is where they have the real fun stuff. A couple are pretty gnarly/rocky!

Did you get your kdx street tagged?

I got a license plate for my KDX by registering it in Vermont. I guess insurance is just a phone call away. I have a functioning headlight and tail light.
Anything else I would need?
