Anything else I would need?
They aren't going to inspect your bike. Headlight/taillight and a legal tag is it.
A camelback or someway to carry drinking water with you.

I'm in on something. Either DRZ400SM with dirt wheels or I'll have that KLX250S on the road by then after letting it sit in my garage since buying it I think two years ago.

Well, I'm not doing it on the Wee, so I'll do it on the 450 again. Last year, I conquered the option that kicked my ass the first year on the KLR250, so I can do whatever this year. I finished with a flat front tire last year, too.

Can it be done (smartly/safely) on full blown dirt knobbies such as Pirelli MT16?
Or might it destroy both the tires and the rider?

I've had a Recluse and burned out my clutch. I need to learn how to use the clutch properly first. And I do lust for a Beta 390!
