can't go myself. My wife is having major back surgery just prior to that so most of June and July will be tied up caring for her.

I'll be hitting the Shenandoah 500 again this year. I took my bike out there last year when it was brand new...she made it just fine. It was a good time and easy enough for my big pig to make it through. There's a couple pics up on my website from it.

The S-500, IMHO is NOT a ride for the Strom. Even if you skip the options there are still some fairly knarly fire trails that the XT would love but you would be hating life on the Strom. There isn't any tight single track but 99% of the bikes are XR's, DR's, KLR's, KTM's, etc. Last year there was 1 guy on a BWW GS 1200 who must have just finished watching Long Way Around and showed up; I heard he went over the side of the trail and went for a very "Long Way Down"......
