To comfort you a little bit - J&J did not have a shoulder pads. That would've saved him I guess.

Got this on the way. It integrates with my neck brace, & offers the best protection, covers your ribs. A couple guys that I know say they ventilate well while riding & you don't notice. I'll probably die of heat exhaustion.....
