I usually sleep in the truck. However, the long range weather forecast is rain/snow showers lows in 30s and high 50s.
Might be nice to huddle up somewhere with a propane heater

Hey guys the roll chart is out...and I may need help deciphering it :lol2:

Also, an additional info page is out. The mileage is confusing me. It does say that total ground miles is 50 for B/C.. Makes sense, the gas stops, there are two, and roll chart make it seem like the mileage is more? I can only guess the range of my bike, maybe 55-65? So, is the actual total miles only 50? I plan on putting gas on at least one gas truck.

And key time is 0900, sleeping in :deal:

I haven't looked at the chart yet, but there will be resets where the mileage jumps up but the time doesn't, which is why the mileage is so much higher on the chart versus actual ground mileage.

Haven't received anything yet. Should I be worrying now or just wait?

You won't receive anything, they'll give you a package when we check in. You can print out the roll chart anytime, if you want to get a jump on that.

That makes sense. The far right column is the avg mph. So they have lot of trail markers? Looks like every few tenths of a mile, that is what keep you on time right? So, riding and thinking/calculating at the same time :lol2:

TURN CLOCKS FORWARD ONE HOUR ON SATURDAY NIGHT 3/10

EDT begins 3/11

Who can give a short explanation for the rollchart - the colors, columns and abbreviations. I understand only part of that.

Left column is minutes, center is mileage, right is miles per hour.

Green highlights are speed changes, red are mileage resets, blue are start controls (known starting check for certain sections, no penalty for being there early)

Ok the one more thing - SJ told we need a regular watch not a stopwatch and set a time so that it is 8:00 (or 9:00 in this case) at the moment you're starting. But I see minutes resetting in the rollchart. What do we do to make it easier to follow it? Or it is easier to have the stopwatch after all?

Edit: what does start or end "free time" mean?
