Why because they were dropping them? I found it funny. :lol2: And you kind of get an idea what they can do after they master it, I was surprised to see the off road stuff. I've seen some police competitions & they are pretty impressive.

Serious post for guys who are planning on going on this trip.

The weather is not looking amazing. On "dirtbike" trips/rides I don't care so much, even below freezing we work up a sweat and its not so bad. But this ride except for a small few parts will be a street/dualsport ride and thus have plenty of speeds above 50mph. Especially that first morning where we highway it down to Damascus/Marion.

Lets keep watching it and hope it gets a little bit warmer.

I would hate to cancel the trip, but I said in the very first post that this time of year would be a gamble and I wasn't afraid to call it if needed.

Let's not use the word "cancel". Postpone sounds much better!

Yes, postpone.

And definitely a dirtbike ride to console ourselves too

Low temperatures don't scare me. Snow on the asphalt is a little sketchy, however.

Weather for my place and for Damascus, VA shows possible rain, but the lows are all above freezing every day from the 26th-30th and the highs are reasonable.

Ive been watching the weather and the only part that seems no fun is the ride down there on 81. I am so so so ready to ride my new bike and get out of the house that I would defiantly want to do something if postponement is the only option. This last weekend I went riding while it was snowing and I think I will be ok warmth wise if not below 38. I was surprised how slick it was when it was not even accumulating on the street. My heavier Tiger was more fun in snowy weather probably cause of the weight?

I've got 14" of it here. Every day is supposed to be over 40, though. Roads have been clear all day around here. Even warmer down south, I imagine. I'm hoping we can still do this. Should be interesting...
