I guess it is time to start that thread. I was waiting on more schedules to come out to pick a weekend.

Your Honda Half-liter Twin would probably be the bike (though KLX would do fine).

Its 350+ miles from my house down to Damascus VA. Thats basically taking I81 and burning out five and half hours of riding.

Pencil me in- end of March.
Just gotta run it by SWMBO

Yeah, about that...I'm not sure what your planning Phil, so like 700+ miles in three days? Maybe we could think outside the box a little, reconsider the start point or run some of it backwards and mix in the slab time? I like to have time to enjoy the trip, not racing the clock, darkness, etc. We will have about 12 hrs of daylight by then, it will also be cold, which takes a toll. We have time to think this over.

Other than limiting myself to three days, I didnt have too much in way of plans.

I dont enjoy highway slabbing on any bike, but I think a certain amount is going to be needed.

We dont have to slab down together either. Maybe we can all meet the morning of day two down in VA somewhere and start working our way back. Where ever we finish at the end is where we finish. I think most of the middle section we have seen before. If we have to skip that then fine.

My trips and planning are a bit looser than SkinnyJ’s.
