Trail 495/457 at Tasker's closed indefinitely

Post by rurumonster » Mon Jun 26, 2017 1:36 pm

Hey all,

A buddy and I were out at tasker's a couple weeks ago and they had a big note on the billboard from WATR stating that trails 495 and 457 (the long ridge trail on the north side) were closed indefinitely. We found this out after actually riding 457, which did seem pretty overgrown but no moreso than usual.

I know that 495 being closed won't break a lot of hearts, but 457 had some fun stuff. Just thought I'd let people know.

Dang, 457, or at least the rocky climb heading north, was my favorite section there.

you are right, won't break my heart at all! But I hate to see trails closed with no reason given.

There is no dirt on 495, I dont see how we could be hurting it when we ride it...

Well that's retarded. The rest of the trails out there suck and are all blown out. Guess I will either not ride there or just forget how to read and ride them anyway.

Todd and I rode there today. I didn't check the status of 495, but 457 appeared to be open. We started in the middle at the entrance that goes up that big loose rocky hill. There were no signs or markings indicating that it was closed at the entrance or the exit. It's lightly overgrown, but most of the trails look like that this time of year.
