I will probably be up on the 27th packing a chainsaw to ride the loop at Shade. I expect a few trees will have come down since Shade was closed.

Yeah....we should keep this as a Shade trip planning thread.
Family camping this weekend, that will give Mike time to clear the trail for us :lol2:

I hope to make it up early June, before it gets DAMN hot.

2nd or 3rd of June -anybody?
Unless we do RAC on the 3rd

Saturday is a go, will be a small group of PaTRA folks working our way around the loop. Hope mother nature was kind and we have little work to do.
Those of us on trials bikes will be parking mid loop at Mitchel as we have a limited fuel range and will be packing tools on our back.
We ask all others to use the main parking lot as where we park space is limited and we can not block the road to the radio tower. If you see some folks on silly bikes with no seats stop and say hello.
As for the offer of extra chainsaw, thanks but we have it covered.
Feel free to pack a good folding handsaw as that is as quick and easy to remove small limbs to open a path till we can get around with chainsaw.
Just fair warning but I am a fan of letting logs in place if they can be crossed. I try to keep the easier trails log free but once on the expert sections the logs just made the ride more enjoyable.
Hope to bump into a few DAMN riders this saturday.

Anywhere I can pick up some 2 stroke oil from the PA border to Shade early? Other than Advance in Shrewsbury. I'll look for you you on the trail.

I plan on hitting the rocks by ten. I'll look for on the trail.

Possible mid week ride also.....
