DAMN Riders - No rules, Just ride!

I have been reading through the forum a little bit so I had to join. Im headed up to do the muchaux dual sport this weekend. If I see some of your jerseys I'll stop and say what's up. My name is Jake and I'll be on a 500exc. If you see someone standing near a yellow Ford rape van that's probably me.....and yes there is free candy if you stop to say hello

I notice the rider letter mentioned a tech inspection. Anyone know how strict they are about it? I have a tailight that doesn't stay on all the time. It will work sometimes but of course when I need it to work I'm sure it won't. Any info is appreciated...

Ok great. That's what I was hoping for. ...I have a Baja designs squadron light on the front that is bright enough for the front and rear... maybe I'll just mention that lol

Usually they just make sure the lights are there. Last year, they actually checked to make sure I had an insurance card and registration with me. That's about as strict as it has been.

I'll have you FF's know that all of my lights function AND are DOT for now. Even my horn works. Sheesh, I just realized that my bike is actually 100% legal--inspection sticker, tires, and all. WTH is wrong with me?


Wait! I'm not gonna wear a DOT helmet, so that'll make up for it.
