for those of you interested in this sort of thing. something a bit different from our usual grueling DS rides
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/events ... hians-2017
The HUMM is a unique 2-day, off-road motorcycle orienteering/geo-caching event in and around Green Ridge State Forest in the Appalachian Mountains of Maryland. Test your map reading and navigation skills, find hidden secrets and enjoy the fabulous riding. The trails and roads are amazing, the scenery is breath-taking, and the people are wonderful - so gather your team and join us!

You know every time I see one of these events I can't help but think that some of us do that shit for free all the time.
Pay to ride public roads? How about I hide some shit in Michaux and give you a map

ya, I see those and feel sorry for guys with no balls
BUT! if it drives $$$ into western Maryland and gets WMD behid OHV recreational tourism, I'm all for it. I don't care if they have latte machines in their pristine aluminum panniers or not.

Just saw this on facebook. Looks mildly interesting. Ironically, I thought it sounded more interesting before I saw "off-road" then "in and around green ridge." How are they going to do two days there?

This is a latte-sipping Beemer "offroad" navigation challenge. I showed them where all the cool creek crossings were and recommended the roughest roads that are still publicly accessible. I'll likely go just to see who comes, etc. My interest is driving OHV money into the county which makes them want more OHV money. Part of my long term strategy.
