That is the weekend after Labor Day and two weeks before the Shen500. The route creator says this is a 1 1/2 day ride so I'm scheduling a Sat/Sun. It would be a strab high-speed slab run home Sunday afternoon.

I'm quite willing to start on Friday is the majority is interested.
Maybe late start Friday and camp up at Michaux?
Free camping and if stay at the north end it'll be a good jump for Saturday morning.

I heard it was a 3 day ride. 2 up and 1 back on slab. I will be on a 525 so slab the length of PA will suck. If there is anyone who wants to take an extra day to side road or follow the trail back, that's what I'll do.

I won't be slabbing back, but I also don't know that I would take two days to get back. I'd probably do a "high speed" strafing run on two-lane roads to get back.

We made it back to the MD line above Emmitsburg by 2-3 in the afternoon from pretty far up into PA on that Alleghany trip.
That was a "high speed" non-highway run. Even time for a high speed dirt road or two.
