440 views and no comments.....must have some closet trials riders around here.
Have Ryan doing a school this weekend for a few of my trials riding friends (even a few DAMN Riders in the group).
Always a good time.
The school is geared for all level riders...Ryan starts with the basics so no one gets left behind.
If you have a trials bike I highly recommend trying the 2 days school, still a value even if you only stay for the first day.

I'll have a trials bike one of these days. Until then I'll just have to lament that I don't have one.

We just got done doing a Ryan school this weekend over Pittsburgh way. It's the third time I've taken his school and I learn something new every time as my skills progress. He covers everything from the simplest skills for the beginner to much more advanced skills than I'll ever possess, well worth the time and money. He got the girlfriend moving in the right direction in her quest of the wheelie and showed her she can nose wheelie, don't think she ever thought she'd even want to try those. He got me so I can finally hold pressure (wheelie) over a concrete pipe (those have scared me since the first time I went over the bars tucking the front) and showed me how to gently come down from a wheelie when dropping off a tall object (stay leaned back with arms fully extended, pull in clutch and add rear brake, let the bike have to overcome your weight.) He even got me doing a splatter which I had no interest in trying before. I'd honestly like to do his course every year.

For the trick question of the day....how many DAMN riders are in the class of 18 riders? (see top photo).
Ladies were just shy of 25% of the class, think that is a new record.
For those that want to try trials but do not own a bike, I think you will find Ryan will rent (bring along to the event) a trials bike. Just need to make prior arrangements. Far cheaper than buying a bike only to find you want no parts of trials riding.
I promise you it will improve what existing riding skills you currently have.

ryan@rypusa.com

Just email Ryan direct to ask about bike rental. Be sure to mention the school you are thinking of attending.
