Jed has inspired me. I think next year I'll borrow my family's DR650 and make the ride up there.

We had a great group for a fine day of bouncing around the woods in Michaux
Here is another with precious in the picture since I had to take the first..
Sorry Jed, Gene and Otto are absent from the pic; they were too fast and already gone by the time we got there!
I am also proud to say that with the exception of one C option (because we were late to lunch from a little break-down issue), ALL the options were properly conquered by Team DAMN!
And the Ice cream was delicious; a big thanks to M.O.R.E!

Had to fix this, the old guy is getting wacky
We had a blast! Great fun with a great DAMN group. Lots of trailers for a dual sport though
Our first real dirt on the 650s & I think it might make me stronger (picking it up) If we keep practicing on them the 250s will be a breeze.
Re: 27th Annual Michaux DS Aug 23d
I had a nice (if chilly) ride up to Michaux w/ J&J.
The first couple of options were fun and just a little bit rocky. Somewhere before lunch, a minor disaster struck and I lost the master link on my chain.
I didn't have a spare. I have the 525 chain on my Suzuki instead of the 520 that EVERYONE ELSE HAS. After some ill fated towing attempts and some exhausting pushing, the sweep riders found me. Luckily one of their guys managed to make a 520 masterlink and clip sort of work. It got me back to the parking lot, but I didn't trust it to ride any further that day.
Luckily Sam was there to bring me home w/ his trailer.
Thanks for everyone's help. Sorry to be THAT guy and set everyone back an hour or so.
