Time to get serious about getting some exercise. DAMN desk job...

Thanks for letting me tag along guys.
I've run an average of 2.6 miles per day for over 470 days straight now and it has made a difference in how I feel after a dirt ride. It'd be nice to be able to hit the dirt more often and be in shape directly from riding but I just can't swing it... Of course, riding in the dirt more means being able to relax more and that probably makes more of a difference than being in shape. Maybe when I retire... ;)

I'm just jealous. All I had was a 13 hour ride to Montgomery, AL.

The highlight of my day was one of the last sections of the day that Sam and I did. Might be the toughest rock garden Ive ever ridden.

Here is Sam in front of me.

(Sorry these are out of order, photobucket is pissing me off)

In the first loop of the day all four of us went out the easy jeep trail on the Peter's Mill Run side. Since it was too easy for us we came back on the infamous upper ridge trail. I didnt get any pics of the climb to the top. I was either riding or helping push. Traction was at a premium and the wet leaves were helping. This was the rocky downhill at the end.

Windblown was doing pretty good but had the bad luck to fall right in front of the guy holding a camera.

Sam actually went down then turned around and rode it and back down. His sweet FreeRide made the section look easy.

Fall? No sir! I was just trying to grab a dollar I saw laying on the trail, LOL.

But seriously, I can't believe how quickly I got wiped out. I was riding like a goober.

My daughter has been wanting me to get an Elliptical machine for the house. I might just have to do that. Seat time is hard to come by and I need to do something in between to build my endurance up.

Thanks for the pic. Might make that my FB profile pic for a bit.

This was along the upper ridge trail. Tree was wet and very slick. Luckily nobody went off to the right and fell down the mountain.
