Anyone going, interested in going, etc?

http://www.classicmotorcycleday.org/

I'll be heading down with some locals I've been meaning to ride with, though more appropriately on a borrowed Bonneville.

I'll be riding up with my dad and one or two of his buddies. If he ends up changing his mind, I'll be heading out to Tasker's Gap instead.

Hope to see you up there

Lots of cool hardware out and about yesterday, even with the brief rain. Vintage bikes deserve analog, so I took my old film camera and shot a couple rolls, dropped them off and had them scanned last night. Just a few that I liked

I wish there weren't modern vehicles in the background.

I believe that is a featherbed judging by the rear section. Looks like my friends MV made and impression on more than just me! Anyone see my fugly bikes there? PS1000 at the MAD tent in race trim and my Orange Triumph Thunderbird were both there. Last time I ever bother to trailer bikes to a show. They only belong on a trailer when headed to the track!

No freakin trophy either!! :foul: It was awarded to an old speed triple with NO mods, no farkles, less the new flat black spraypaint on the header?? WTF? There was a beautiful 09 S3 right next to me that was outstanding! Ohlins, carbon etc. etc. I talked with the owner of the 1995 S3 early that am and he said he was associated with the Triumph Club in DC area, I guess his buddy was a judge too! Oh well...

There were some really nice Guzzis, BMW's and plenty of Brit bikes to look at. This is generally a good show and worth the $10 to get in. I used to attend the VMBC show at Ida Lee Park in Leesburg but its been moved to a new venue in Manassas. The last few shows weren't the best so I dropped my club membership and haven't followed through.
