RRob and Ken-what time should I expect you Friday?

Ken and I should be at your place between 1 and 2pm.

Al, what night were you planning on grilling?

We'll never be much more than two miles from the pit area. If I get a flat or break, I'm rolling down the first ski slope I see back to the pits.

The pit crew is ready! Have camera and camcorder loaded and charged.

All biffs must be done in front of me and scheduled. If there is an attractive umbrella girl nearby, biffs must be rescheduled. :lol2:

Pig is stripped and prepped (2 qts spare oil in tank bag) for the easy ride today. Name and address of next of kin is taped to roost deflector for easy reading at ER.

Is the coffee ready? :?:

Well, I'm finally home, unloaded, fed, bathed, and relaxing in front of the computer with an icepack on my ankle.

Thanks to both Rob and Ken for motivating me to run in this fabulous adventure. More to come later.

I spoke with a local racer who does the Koontz series as well as the GNCC circuit. He said the Timberline course was the hardest, worst conditions he has raced in.

Due to the recent storm, they received 6" of rain making things extremely slippery. Also, due to the elevation changes of the course, many racers had jetting issues and over-heating problems. Due to the heat, humidity, and extreme course conditions, drop-out rate for this race was over 50%.

Kudos to all the racers that excepted the challenge of this difficult race.

Amen to what TyMarp said! I'm impressed that RRob got in one lap and then started a second! Kudos to you Al for even trying.

However, I am a bit disappointed that he was lapped 4 times by a girl ... actually, several girls. :harhar:

Had a great time and, NO, I don't want to try it next time! :screwy:

btw, if I ever figure out how to use my video editing software, I'll post some footage of the race.
