Tagging a 2T in Maryland

Post by B00ST00 »

Considering a Beta 300rr. It has a PA street title and is currently tagged. Will I run into any issues at the MVA? I have tagged a wr450 with a PA street title in the past(6-7yrs ago) without issue.

If you already have a street title will be no sweat. The most annoying thing will be finding somewhere to sign off on your MD inspection.

With MD inspection paperwork signed off, then its just go down to MVA and "I would like tags for this used street bike please..."

I've got my beta 2t tagged. I think all the beta 2ts in the group are tagged. When I bought mine it was new. The MVA couldn't find the VIN in their database. The manager came over and pushed my request through. :) So different from having a COO that says, "not road worthy" or whatever.

That’s great to hear. I’m going to look at a 17’ beta 300rr tomorrow with a pa street title. I’m hoping to join the club!

Thanks guys! Coming from a 500 it is completely different, best way to describe it is going from a buck knife to a scalpel. Unbelievable tractor like torque and feels much lighter than it actually is.

Any suggestions on getting this thing through MD inspection? It had all lights/ horn installed at the dealer. Lights only come on when the engine is running.
