I thought it's my browser first.
Cleared the cache and it helped! For a minute. Then it starts to lag again. On my phone it even logs me out sometimes.

got the following back from the hosting admins. It seems to be working better now.
We have been working on that server lately. Early morning backups might have slowed it a bit.

So I was going to say I'd experienced the slow website, too, but that it was fast today but then when I hit the "reply" button just now it was slow again.

Unlikely it's "early morning backups," especially since this is noon. May want to check with them before I put together a monitoring script and let them know when they're sucking. ;)

Fast again. And of course I already wrote the script. :)

I'll have it gather data from grabbing the site every 15 minutes and see what it says.

Thanks,

Usually it takes between a quarter and a half second, but...

Tue Sep 4 21:59:21 EDT 2018
Getting http://DAMNriders.org... ...gotten in 1.023401 seconds.
Tue Sep 4 22:14:22 EDT 2018
Getting http://DAMNriders.org... ...gotten in 14.310302 seconds.
Tue Sep 4 22:29:37 EDT 2018
Getting http://DAMNriders.org... ...gotten in 3.703338 seconds.
Tue Sep 4 22:44:40 EDT 2018
Getting http://DAMNriders.org... ...gotten in 2.222003 seconds.

There were other minor spikes, but that was a big cluster. Note this is only for the main html -- it doesn't include images, embedded scripts, etc. Actual loading would be slower but this gives indications of when things are screwy.
