He has one for sale cheap, I'm sure. It's a HF carrier I fixed so it's actually strong.

How did you make it stronger? I'm thinking of getting one. I dont like the looks of the thin 2" aluminum square channel over the the 2"square steel tongue. The see-saw effect would crack/split it?juddspaintballs wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 5:19 pmContact Gene

Re: Receiver-Mount Motorcycle Carrier
The 2" square tube is extremely thin and it wallowed out the hitch pin hole after just a couple uses. The aluminum bracket that holds the horizontal tray to the square tube is also prone to failure. I replaced the 2" square tube with a thicker walled SS tube (only because that hunk of SS was cheap) and used 2" angle iron to hold it on with proper bolts. I also used a piece of 1-1/4" square bolted under the carrier about where the handlebars would be directly above it for easier tie-down of the bike.
Give Gene a call. Since I built him a massive 3'x7' platform that he's using on the back of his truck, he doesn't need the HF carrier anymore.

OK, thanks for the info but didn't want to buy out from under "Damage inc" .
Also looks like he might be pretty far east?, according to his phone #. I'm closer to Frostburg, probably not worth the drive. Unless someone wants to drag to Mountain Ridge to meet me.
