It's not so much about your speed but more the lack of power in that map unless you go wfo on the throttle. It's great at maintaining momentum but not for accelerating and such. The great part is you can change maps on the fly.

Annnnnnnnnndddddd, I just ordered another MXR for my wife yesterday. Won’t be here until August but she is excited as am I. Maybe now I can do an Enduro by just switching bikes at a gas stop.

Took this for a quick spin at Tasker's today. It is so weird just twisting the throttle and going with no noise. Hard to judge the power without being able to listen to the engine noise/rpm. It was pretty greasy after all that rain so I only bumped it up to map 2. She scooted along pretty well and would loft the front end with ease. Power is definitely not a short coming of this bike. Map 4 has to be insane.

Chassis/suspension felt pretty good. Brakes worked well. Lots of engine braking which I didn't care for. I imagine that can be tuned? Does it have regen when engine braking?

You can hear every little noise the bike makes. Even down to the knobs gripping or slipping. Crazy.

I had a similar problem with a lack of motor noise back in the day. I think the answer back then still would work today:

Yeah it has regen in Map 1 and 2. The engine braking is the most on one, a bit less on 2, not much in 3 and non existent really in 4 (just typical brushless motor drag.) Like I told you Sunday Map 4 is fucking crazy. I love it! Haha but it doesn’t last for shit in that map. The Maps work as follows 1=super tame and linear 2 very punchy off bottom and tuned down a bit on top, 3 is soft on bottom hits hard up too, Map 4 doesn’t move you forwards, it rotates the earth backwards instead. I guess 150lbft to the rear wheel will do that.

Ugh. Although I suppose those will be hard bikes to hide considering how rare they are. Pretty DAMN bold considering they had just stopped for lunch and they got jacked in the middle of the day like that.

ATTENTION FRIENDS IN THE U.K. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Lyndon Poskitt’s Erzberg race bikes and equipment were stolen out of his van on his way to the race. CASH reward for information leading to the retrieval of the equipment. Read below for details and follow @lyndonposkitt for updates on the situation. ・・・
SHARE!!! I’ve had my van broken into Harlow, UK, M11 J7 and everything stolen on the way to Erzberg. 2 Alta Motors bikes, gear, 2 new Honda generators, tools, spares all our camera gear, laptop etc etc. To say this has ruined my day and my Erzberg is an understatement. We were stopped for 20 mins for lunch. Please please share, I’m working with the police now but feel it needs more power, get on it please, i just want everything back. @adventure.spec #adventurespec

lyndonposkitt REWARD! £5000 cash reward for the return of my stolen race bikes and gear within the next 24 hours. 2 x Alta Motors Electric dirt bikes (very rare, the only two in the UK!), 2 x Honda Generators, 2 x Flight Cases with my camera equipment, Mac Book pro and Drone stolen from my van today M11 J7 on way to Erzberg. Cash reward, no questions asked, I just want to go racing at Erzberg with the bikes I’ve put everything into. Please help me get them back 🙏Share far and wide to get the word out and let’s go racing. These are very rare so not hard to spot. If they don’t come back I will raise the money for an investigation and advertising campaign to find out where they are and who took them. This is not acceptable, do the right thing and let’s have them returned.
