I have stocks too I think. Never really considered it as a thing to change. I'm not that good to know what I want from the bike, so I adapt o anything there is and ride with what I have. I'm pretty sure I would not feel the difference in riding after I get used to any other pegs so I don't bother.

I swap pegs just to have something with more grip when it's muddy. The teeth on my pegs really dig in, even in mud.

I've always run stock pegs. Never given it too much thought.

Though I did test ride a bike of BoomBoom years ago. It has stock pegs with an extra set of pegs arc welded onto the back of them. So it was like an extra large peg. Might be a cheap option.

Hey Ken! Fire up the welder.

Better grip (deeper "v" notches) and usually wider is the main reason for different pegs. Most "dirt bikes" seem ok with stockers. DS bikes like the DRZ can benefit from pegs.

Frugal, yes. Dumb, no. No KTM for me, either with or without cool foot pegs.

But carry on. Maybe we can discuss oil next...

On mine I have enough grip, only problems I've had is when I am to tired to lift the foot and can't slide the leg of the peg and try to crash because of that :lol2:
Perhaps they're not stock idk. Or my rather adv boots with grippy sole make the difference.
